Dr. J. Kyle Battles is a native and current resident of Gadsden, AL, and a graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He is an honor graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he received his B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Battles graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 2011. He has practiced general dentistry in Gadsden for 8 years.
Dr. Battles is a career long member of the ADA, ALDA, and AGD. Dr. Battles is a past President of the 5th District of the Alabama Dental Society. He has also served on the Board of Trustees, as well as the Committee on Credentials/rules & order.
Dr. Battles is married to Emily Brown Battles and they have two children, Reese and Reed.
Annette Greer has been at the same office since 1987! Annette graduated from Columbus College, Columbus, GA in 1986 with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene, licensed in GA and AL. She began her career as a hygienist with Riverbend Family Dentistry with Dr. Lew Mitchell in Jan 1987.
Annette worked as a hygienist until she took a sabbatical to stay home with her 2 sons in 1994. She returned to work in 1998 with Dr. Mitchell and worked as a hygienist until she moved to the front office in 2010. She currently works at the front office and will be happy to assist you.
Annette and her husband Tom have two sons, Nathan and Andrew. Andrew works for Etowah County.
Amanda Wells, RDH/Assistant was raised in Centre, AL. She started working at Riverbend in 2008 as a dental assistant. Amanda attended the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2011 where she became a registered dental hygienist. Amanda has two wonderful boys Ethan 19, and Lucas 13. Amanda and her boys currently live in Glencoe, AL.
Carolyn Greer was born and raised in Gadsden, AL. Carolyn has been with the Riverbend dental family since 1993, beginning with Dr. Lew Mitchell. She was trained by Dr. Mitchell and has continued at Riverbend Family Dentistry ever since.Carolyn currently lives in Glencoe, AL with her mother.
Amanda Day joined Riverbend Family Dentistry in October of 2019 as a Dental Assistant. She was born and raised in Florence, SC. Amanda loves spending time with her family and attending her daughters’ softball games. She plans to attend the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in the spring of 2022.
April Carter is our Patient Coordinator and joined Riverbend Family Dentistry in June 2020. She loves spending time with her two boys, Tre and Zay, and shopping. April plans to attend the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in the near future.
Marie Brogdon joined our Riverbend team in August 2020. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 30 years and specializes in periodontal care. Marie loves gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
